Ball Droppings by Josh Rubin

balldroppings_screenshot1

Somehow I missed this when it went around in the beginning of the year. Regardless, it's fantastic. BallDroppings, by Josh Nimoy, is a highly addictive musical play toy based on the simple principles of the original computer game, Pong. By drawing lines you manipulate where dropping balls bounce, and with every bounce a musical note is played.

Be sure to check out jtnimoy.com for a glimpse of his other work. There's lots of fun and pretty stuff besides BallDroppings!

Two New Andy Warhol Books: The Record Covers and Warhol Live
Much is written of the late Andy Warhol. Too much, you might argue. And while the newest pair of titles cover some of the same well-trodden ground, they limit their focus to one specific aspect of the eclectic artist's career. "Warhol Live" and "Andy Warhol: The Record Covers, 1949-1987"&mdashboth published by Prestel&mdashexplore the Pop artist's relationship with the music and bands he loved and...

All you do is strum...
