Pocket Vault by Josh Rubin
Chameleon Networks has started taking orders for, Pocket Vault, a new device that holds all your credit card information and reprints it on demand to a reusable Chameleon Card. All you do is select the credit card you want to use and it spits out the Chameleon Card with the appropriate imprint and magnetic strip. The Pocket Vault includes a fingerprint reader so that only you can use it, and also supports data back up to your pc. It also supports RFID, the electronic tags used in gas station speed passes, office building key cards, and electronic tool booths. Pocket Vault is a bit big at the moment, but I'm sure the size will come down.
$179 on Chameleon Network's Site

RadarGolf
Using simple radio frequency signals, RadarGolf takes (most of) the frustration out of golfing. A handheld finder tracks a proprietary microchip embedded in a ball that otherwise is equal to regular golf balls in every way. Within a range of 30-100 feet, the LCD screen's visual feedback and an audio tone gets stronger as it's closer to the ball. Included protective pouches shield balls...

Liquid Image Camera Goggles
Daydreams of summer aquatic fun reminded us of Liquid Image's Underwater Digital Camera Masks, goggles with built-in video and photo capabilities. Bringing underwater photography to a new level of convenience, buttons on top easily control the camera and crosshairs printed into the glass replaces the need for a display. Goggles come in three designs, differing in depth limitations and video quality. The Swim Video...

Philips Prestigo Touch Screen Universal Remote
Beautifully designed, highly functional and easy to set-up, Philips' Prestigo remote rivals top-of-the-line models with similar features but costs significantly less. The latest model, the STR9320 (still yet to hit the market), hosts 300,000 devices in its memory, requiring little more than a few taps to program it to work with up to 20 components. But the "activity" settings are the real revelation, allowing...

Plastic Logic Reader
Still one year out of consumer reach, the Plastic Logic reader is already being touted by some sources as the Kindle killer. At this week's Tools of Change for Publishing Conference in New York, I had a chance to see the reader prototype in action and get my hands on one, albeit briefly. With a form factor equivalent to that of a legal-size pad of...

Hands on with the T-Mobile G1
When it goes on sale tomorrow, the T-Mobile G1 will be the very first mobile device to utilize Google's open source operating system, Android. I've been using a G1 for the last couple of weeks and am really impressed—a relief because since the iPhone there really hasn't been a mobile that I've been excited about. While the G1 comes in a nice form-factor with...
