New Hologram Tech by Josh Rubin

Hitachi (Japan) announced that it has developed a holographic-like display called the Transpost, which allows 360 degree viewing of an object rendered in light without wearing any special glasses. The whole set up is about 6 feet tall and is reportedly being developed for use in shop displays and games. Transpost uses a combination of mirrors and light to create the image.

Further Forward Fashion
By Justin Bovington The London and Chicago-based design firm Rivers Run Red is busy developing a range of clothing with one of the UK’s top Fashion Designers - Mrs Jones. Not unusual you might say? Maya 2 Google Earth
The people over at Eyebeam recently launched a new tool, entitled Maya 2 Google Earth. It's an open-source, cross-platform tool that allows you to export 3D models as a single Google Earth Placemark (KML) file. The project was inspired by the Open GL extraction utility OGLE (also by Eyebeam), which allows for the capture and re-use of 3D geometry data from 3D graphics applications...

TiO2 Paint
Last year the BBC reviewed a new glass coating that is self cleaning and anti-bacterial. Made from Titanium Dioxide (TiO2), the surface reacts with light to do its job. Two product extensions are now available from Japan-- TiO2 paint and household spray. They basically work the same way, reacting to sunlight, but are used to create more sterile interior spaces. As explained by Dr....
