Nike ESPO Air Force IIs by Josh Rubin

As noted earlier, the latest entries to the Nike Artist Series were set to drop yesterday. Apparently, people lined up outside of Niketowns across the country 24 hours in advance of their unveiling to get a chance to buy a pair of their own. Of the three designs, the ESPO Air Force II (pictured above) seems to be the biggest hit.

Nike Zvezdochka by Mark Newson
Launched in the Japanese magazine Marc Newson as a multi purpose shoe for cosmonauts, it's named for the Russian space dog that ventured aboard Sputnik 10 in 1961. While it may look like a reinvention of the Jelly, it promises to be the next major accomplishment in footwear engineering. Update: 24 January 2004 I just found a pair of these for $110 at Barney's New York (Madison Ave, NYC Store). Firstly, it's amazing that Barney's now sells Nike, secondly the Hanon's deal must not have been an exclusive after all. Regardless, these kicks are pretty fresh. The under layer has a funky silver print on it. ---- These Vandal Supremes are designed exclusively...
