Fonebak by Josh Rubin

Fonebak is a UK based initiative to recycle discarded mobile phones. Participants can drop off their handset at one of several participating shops, or they can mail it to Fonebak directly. The device is then dismantled and whatever bits aren't eligible for recycling are incinerated using a 0 emissions process. Energy from the incineration contributes to the supply of the nearby town.
