Motorola V80 (R880) by Josh Rubin

According to Mobile Review, the Motorola V80 (previously thought to be named the R880) has been confirmed for April 2004 delivery. The V80 is the successor of the original rotator, the V70 . One great feature is the ability to compose a picture with the screen rotated 90 degrees -the result is a more natural posture for taking snapshots. With a unique design and loads of features, the V80 should do pretty well.

Motofone
Designed to be universally easy to use, Motophone, Motorola's sleek new "no-manual," no-frills phone, is almost here. Their experience website, just launched today detailing their design process and extensive research—including visits to multiple continents to conduct ethnographies of how people actually use their phones. The upshot is a super-thin (9 mm) candy bar phone with several features that truly make it a phone for...

Red Moto FONE
Announced last week, the Motorola FONE promises to bring wireless telephony to the rest of the world. Beyond its emerging market focus the 9mm thick, seemingly simple device, will no doubt have a place in the hands of veteran wireless users as well. It's small and sexy, but made with cheap parts so it will be easy for anyone to get one. No one has...

iTunes Phone
Well it's finally official. After many months of rumors, the Motorola ROKR (pronounced rocker) was just announced as the first phone with built in iTunes software. It only holds 100 songs and is therefor a phone that can sync with iTunes (as opposed to an iPod with phone features). Music playback is apparently well integrated with the phone features: The Motorola ROKR features a...

Sony Ericsson K750i
On Friday I managed to procure a Sony Ericsson K750i and after spending the weekend with it I'm very impressed. In basically the same form factor as the T610, they've jammed in a 2 Megapixel camera, MP3 player, games and all the organizational tools I use in my Treo. While it's not a Treo replacement, it's definitely a great alternate phone for one who...

Motorola A780
Sorry for the Motoverkill, but this one is near and dear to me-- as a member of the original design team for the software in this puppy, I'm happy to see it has finally matured a bit. There have been several iterations: first was the A760, then the A768, then the E680. Each one a little better than the next, but not quite fulfilling...
