Day14 by Josh Rubin

rinzen.gif

Bill Griffin and Andy Maw (Day14) asked 18 artists what was a source of wonder to them as a child. The result is an online gallery, book and exhibit of work from Neville Brody, Pete Fowler, eboy, Rinzen, Michael Gillette and others. Each piece is on a 1 meter square canvas. While the topic may seem a little hoakey, the work is rather outstanding. This piece, from Australian collective Rinzen, is one of my favorites.

Grainbag
Grainbag is a Pittsburgh based on-line gallery featuring a really broad range of contemporary work. Thanks to Apartment Therapy for turning me on to Grainbag and the work of Corey LeChat, who's piece Senescent Shaman is pictured above. Grainbag's unnamed curator also has a great blog that includes some of his/her own photography. Apartment Therapy, by the way, is a fantastic site for New...
