A Photo of Every Address in Paris by Josh Rubin
Isabel Mendes, a young Brazilian photographer, is photographing every single address in Paris. She is doing this project for a French mapping company that is creating a digital index of the city. You can enter an address or navigate a map of the city on France TÈlÈcom's Yellow Pages site pagesjaunes.fr, demandez c'est trouvÈ ! her story was recently covered in the New York Times.
Now wouldn't it be great to access this from your location enabled mobile? Wayfinding could be so much better!

In early 2003, photographer and writer Tom Schutyser traveled in a West-East direction along the Silk Road documenting the sights he saw along the way. The resulting show, "Caravanserais a Metaphor," is a photographic glimpse of his journey from Iran through Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan to China, shot in black and white. Hotel Sezz
On a recent trip to Paris I had the pleasure of staying at the boutique Hotel Sezz, located in the 16th arrondissement, steps from the Seine, about 400 yards from the Eiffel Tower and just a few blocks away from the #6 metro. For all that, the small boutique hotel is located on a tranquil, very residential street, making for a more authentic Parisian...

Schmap for the iPhone and iPod Touch
When we first learned about Schmap digital travel guides a couple years back, we loved the concept but were frustrated by the lack of options for Macs. With their new beta version for iPhones and iPod Touches, they've one-upped themselves by providing their interactive maps in a format designed to take advantage of the device's unique capabilities. Using the gyro feature and either a...

by Tacita Vero Just opened, the Everland Hotel sits like a jewel on the roof of that treasure chest, the contemporary art space Palais De Tokyo in Paris. First installed in 2002 at other locations including the Museum of Contemporary Art in Leipzig, the Hotel is reaching its most stunning and coveted placement in the City of Light, oddly on the top of the 1930s...

Hotel Particulier
Nestled in a garden down a secret cobblestone path off Avenue Junot in Paris' Montmartre lies the impossibly charming five-room Hotel Particulier. CH had the privilege of staying there recently (courtesy of the hotel, which just opened its doors in June) and enjoyed the luxuriously appointed rooms and movie-perfect setting—the adjacent pétanque court being the cherry on top of the cake. With a well-curated...
